Zachariah carries a Kindle with him everywhere he goes. He loves to read— sci-fi fantasy being his favorite genre. It’s his fifth summer at EXPLO, and even though this coming week is the end of Session One, it definitely isn’t the end of Zachariah's time at (and love for) EXPLO!
What have you been up to today?
I played ga-ga ball, watched a movie in my dorm, played some Mario Kart, hung out with some friends— had a pretty relaxing day. I didn’t go to the Ville (Bronxville), because I had enough stuff left over from last week.
This coming week is the last week for Session One. How are you feeling about your time at EXPLO?
Well, this is my fifth summer at EXPLO. It’s a little different than the other years because of the pandemic, but it's still very fun! I really like my friends here. We’re going to stay in touch after the program...and I expect I’ll be able to make a lot more friends, because I’m also staying here for Session Two!
What are you excited about this last week?
Everything! I’m looking forward to going to my courses and electives. I’m taking Model UN and Intro to Acoustic Guitar, which I'm really excited about. I also want to hang out on the lawn with my friends. All of it, really.
What do you like to do when you’re not at EXPLO?
In addition to doing things like reading and playing video games, I like building very big Lego models. The one I’m working on right now is around 4,000 pieces. It’s a Star Destroyer from Star Wars.
