This is my first time at EXPLO. I heard about it through my dad. He went to EXPLO a long time ago. I don’t know the year, but he was my age back then. He doesn’t like to tell me his exact age, but I think he’s 45 or so. He just tells me he’s in his 40s. I believe that back then they didn’t have so many specific courses; he probably did just science and physics courses. He’s the kind of person who can always help you if you need help with your math homework, but the trade off is that you have to stay there for at least 30 minutes and listen to him explain how and why everything works. We get along very well.

I’m taking Aerial Engineering and Off-Road Vehicle Design. When I grow up I want to be an engineer — probably a bioengineer. I really like biology, specifically the human body. I could become a doctor but that’s a pretty crowded field already, whereas bioengineering is still starting out. I like the fact that you can make a 3D model and print out an actual body part that functions the way it should. It’s really interesting. I’m learning a lot about technical skills in engineering here because I don’t know much about that. I don’t have too much experience with engineering so it’s been very interesting here, I’m constantly learning new things. I like the fact that while EXPLO is loads of fun, you’re still learning valuable stuff, so you’re not just wasting time.
