From the friends he is making to the paintings he's creating, first year EXPLO student Austin has really hit the ground running (literally, in his Cross Country Fundamentals elective!).
What are you doing right now?
It's time for clubs now so I'm in art club. I'm painting a lake with a night sky over it. I made two of them — one is purple and the other is blue. I really like to paint. I actually do spray painting at home on canvas. Usually, I make planets in space.
Tell me about your first week at EXPLO.
It's my first time coming to EXPLO. It's been really fun. I've met a lot of new people and the classes especially have been great. I had aeronautical engineering course today, and yesterday I had a cross country elective.
I really like it here. Last night, we played a pretty intense game of UNO. One of my friends actually lost his voice from how much fun we were having — shouting and talking so much. I'm really happy with the people I've met here so far. Especially our R.A.'s (Residential Advisors). Everyone is just so much fun.
