Future veterinarian Phillystity is passionate about the outdoors — including animals — and she is a firm believer that we can learn more about the human experience through our interactions with animals.
I love being outdoors. There is a certain joy you receive when you are outside that you don't get indoors. Nature has a positive effect on me — its beauty helps me to feel calm and at ease, so anything I do I prefer to do outside.
I guess it also helps that I also love things that live outside, like animals. I hope to become a veterinarian in the future so I can help animals. My favorite animal would have to be a dog. Dogs have such a wonderful energy and they can also be stubborn at times. It's weird that I would say that as a positive thing, but I think there is a lot you can learn from the stubbornness of dogs.
We tend to be more persistent and patient when training a dog because we feed off of their energy and are convinced something good will come out of our time with them. I think this should be applied more to our human interactions. If we were all to have the same patience and curiosity with people that we have with dogs, I think we would get a lot further with our interactions with others.
