My father is in medicine and my mother, even though she is a teacher, studied medicine. Since I was a kid I have been going to operations with my father. That’s where my interest started, and it’s just continued from there. I’ve known I’ve wanted to be a med since then, and my opinion has not changed at all.

Even though saving lives is very important, that’s not exactly what kept my interest. I really like the topic and biology in school has always interested me. I believe you need to work in something you enjoy and something you like, not just what you think you should work in.

My idea isn’t just to make an impact. I’m not a person that wants to be known for something; I just want to feel that I’m doing what I like and that I’m helping someone else, even if I’m not known. Even though it’s smaller satisfaction, I just want to feel in myself that I’m doing something right. I want to make people feel good and feel like I’m doing something right. I don’t care if I get recognition.

I expect from my classes here at EXPLO — Anatomy + Physiology and Forensic Science — to learn new things and get experience to make the path to medical school easier. My determination to be a med is just so strong and I’m making my best effort to meet that goal.
