How do You Measure Your Worth?

Do you measure it by the abundance of love in your life, in the form of true loved ones and friends? Do you measure it by the depth of your passions and the range of your interests? How about by the scope of your dreams or the courage and grit you'll need to make them reality?

Or, do you get caught up in the numbers game, measuring yourself against everyone else — or against an unattainable ideal — in terms of your achievements, your social media presence, or even your weight?

Dea Oviedo, Explo alum (Explo at Wellesley, 2011-2012; Explo at Yale, 2013), wants us each to remember one thing:

I think that we should spread the message that we are all beautiful and that we are much more than just a number on a scale.

"I think," she says, "that we should spread the message that we are all beautiful and that we are much more than just a number on a scale. My past experiences at Explo have taught me as much, since I have learned to love and accept myself ever since I started attending three years ago. I hope this video touches the hearts of the wonderful community that is Explo, as it has touched mine."
