To kick off their afternoon class, three Medical Careers students were assigned fabricated injuries. The other students were given a number of materials and split into teams to create improvised splints for their peers, following their instincts. After this imaginative introductory activity, students then learned how to properly stabilize a fractured bone and practiced doing so together.
