Weekend Activities: Blackout Poetry + Creative Writing

Today, we asked students to rip pages out of books — not as an act of rebellion, but for blackout poetry! Students sharpie out sections of the page to express a different message on the same page and to use as creative writing prompts for students to write entirely new prose.
