While Explo at Yale students are enjoying classes, activities, trips, and events at Yale, long-unfolding tensions in the U.S. have erupted into a crisis.

Many members of our community feel the impact of this crisis no matter where we are or what we're doing. Important conversations have started in classes, living groups, and other discussion activities on campus. We are all affected by the tragic events of the last few days in Baton Rouge, Minnesota, and Dallas — and these emotions can be heightened when away from home and family.

This evening, Saturday, July 9, 2016, as one of our evening Main Events, Explo at Yale will host a faculty-facilitated Open Forum and Discussion on Race, Policing, Protests, and Current Events. It is our hope that this will be a space where students can express their feelings and engage in important discussions about race and injustice.
