Colby has been attending EXPLO for the past eight summers, and in that time she has explored everything from interior design to criminal psychology. This year, she's giving Sports Management a try as she continues to suss out her strengths and interests.

I started EXPLO when I was entering 6th grade, I think. From the moment I stepped onto the campus, it was just the most amazing thing ever. I fell in love with the people and the community. I always explain it as it's like school, but it's different — it's not like math and history and science, but it's so much more fun. I don't know how EXPLO comes up with the amazing classes they do, but every year, I'm just like "I want to do this one! Oh, that one!" There are so many options. They really help you expand the view of the world. You can find what your passion is and what you are interested in.

Through EXPLO, I've came up with so many career paths. When I first came, I wanted to be a teacher. Then I wanted to be a interior designer, then a criminal psychologist. It changed so much over the time I've been here, and it's great because I got to explore all the different things.

I don't know what I want to do in the future yet. Right now I'm really interested in working with sports teams. I manage my school's football team, so I'm doing the Sports Management Focus Program this year. This is completely new. I don't really know that much about sports management, so I'm just going to learn everything I can. I'm so interested in seeing how sports and business intersect.
