Gabby: We did not know each other at all before coming to EXPLO. We are in the same living group, so I guess that's how our friendship started. But really we were both drawn to each other's sense of humor. Before we were friends, we had mutual friends and every time we would have a conversation we would end up laughing at the same stuff, just the two of us, and then we just stuck together.

Symone: I would say Gabby is very different from me. We are taking very different classes and in general we have different personalities.

Gabby: But it isn't in a bad way. We sort of add on to each other. We are both here at EXPLO having unique experiences and then come dinner time, we get to share that with each other. So it is almost as if we are having two experiences at the same time as individuals.

Symone: Yeah, I learn a lot from her — especially in regard to her classes. She is taking Creative Writing while I am taking Psychopathology. Completely different classes, but I am learning so much from her classes even though I am not there.

Gabby: That's definitely a huge plus for us here at EXPLO. Ideally we all want to take as many courses as possible, but thats just not realistic. Being friends with Symone means I can learn from classes that I am not taking and I think that's pretty great.
