Shelly from China lives in the city but loves nature. For her, EXPLO is all about trying new things — from exploring a different artistic medium to building confidence in her public speaking skills.
One thing I love a lot is horseback riding. The part I enjoy the most about riding is the feeling of freedom when running on the horseback. Horseback riding really connects me with nature. Other than that, I also do a lot of hiking and kayaking, so I signed up for a nature trip at EXPLO!
I've also been doing oil painting for more than 10 years. I decided that I want to try out a different style of drawing this summer, so I'm going to do comic painting at EXPLO.
I've been to quite a few boarding summer camps in the past. I think it is a good experience to be away from my family for a short time in the year and really give myself the time and space to be independent and to grow. My goal for this summer is to gain more confidence in public speaking, so I will be taking the Public Speaking and Model United Nations courses with EXPLO. I'm also very excited to make many new friends in the next few weeks!
