Sari is in America for the second time in her life, but it's her first summer at EXPLO. She loves how easy it is to make friends from other countries like Brazil, Italy, Spain, and Russia, and says that everything at EXPLO feels "just right."
The first time I came to America was with my mom and granny last year to New York and Boston. America is like another universe from my country. I really love it because it's modern, everything is new, everything is different. My favorite thing to do in New York was just walking around. New York has so many people — it was so crowded and it was so cold when I was there. But just looking at the huge buildings and people everywhere was very beautiful.
My favorite things about home are my family and friends there, because that's what makes it home! I'm planning to study in America, and Yale is my favorite school currently. I really like New Haven. It is so small and beautiful. It looks like such a village; it's so cute.
I have friends here from Italy, Spain, Russia, and Brazil. I think EXPLO is so good that we can make friends from all over the world. And I think that's what makes EXPLO special. I don't meet people from other countries so easily at home like I do here. There are many students here and so many interesting classes. There are also fun activities. Last night, Carnival Night, was so fun. Me and my friends were eating donuts and dancing to the music. I really enjoyed it!
