Luke plans to get ahead of the game of politics by educating himself thoroughly. By the time he is legally of age to vote, he will have a deep understanding of politics. He explains how Explo is helping him achieve that goal.
I made some great friends here this summer at Explo and learned a lot in my classes that I’ll take home with me. My RA’s, Cam and Simon, are really nice and have become mentors to me.
I’m taking Model United Nations and Political Media Studies. I’m interested in political things and they are very informative classes. The debates that are on right now and how bad everything is has inspired me to fix it.
I think social media is now a key for candidates and their campaigns — if they use it right. I don’t know about a career in politics yet, but I do want to be informed so I can be an educated voter by the time I’m 18.
