Meet Jared from New York

Jared is taking a creative writing course in order to finesse his ability to tell the stories always running through his mind.

Jared knows what it means to be completely lost in his own thoughts. He’s taking a creative writing course in order to finesse his ability to tell the stories always running through his mind.

When I see a tree, I think of a thousand things. I think of color and how I associate different colors with objects.  I think of the concept of branching — more than just a branch on a tree, but the branching of a storyline or the way that veins branch out. It’s almost like an entire web of thought that forms in my mind.

I find myself spacing out quite often, which gives me ample time to imagine things. Sometimes I have this story in my head — almost like watching a T.V. show that only I can see. It’s amazing. But to have these ideas and images and not share them with the rest of the world feels selfish.

I’m passionate about writing and I want to write comic books. I have a handwriting disability, which also transfers to me not being able to draw. So wanting to write comic books may seem a little bit strange to many, but I’d love to make my own storylines come to life entirely from my own imagination.
