With civil engineering in his blood and a passion for drawing, 16-year-old Igor hopes to further explore the world of architecture and design at EXPLO.
I like math, but also love the humanities. I’ve found that within architecture and industrial design, I can mix both things. I’m able to apply mathematical concepts through a creative lens.
I’ve loved to draw since I was little. Both of my parents are civil engineers and they work a lot with architects. Whether we’re on a trip or simply at home, we always talk about the function and aesthetic of the buildings around us. When I was twelve, my family built a house. I’d be so intrigued by all of the sketches that were in progress. I’d love to point things out and ask, “Why don’t you change this?” or “Why didn’t you make that wall differently?”
I’ve always been close to the architectural world. It feels like I was born to do it.
