Eileen is a rising junior who is new to Explo and has a passion for learning about architecture. Outside of the classroom, Eileen enjoys going to Explo events and dancing with her living group friends.
My sisters came here three years ago and then my brother came and they really enjoyed it. They were like, “You need to come!”
I LOVE the living groups. At first we were really shy, and now we all talk so much that we can’t even hear [each other] when we’re talking. We love dancing, too. We go to all of the events they have. I dance pretty much all the time, every day. It’s something I like to do for fun.
In life, I know I want to become an architect. My second class is architecture, so I’m really happy. I [once] spent a week where I had to work in an architecture company. I learned a lot of things there. When I came here, things were explained a lot better. I learned how to use the materials. I got to draw my own building and now we are making models. I like both [drawing and using software to create buildings], but I prefer drawing. It’s one of my best subjects.
