Danny's spent the last year and a half learning how to beatbox, now at Explo he's learning how to develop his vocal talents into singing.
This is my first year at Explo and I’m really enjoying the experience, I’m happy I came. My friend Drew told me about Explo and asked if I wanted to come with him, so I signed up. I’m really, really not regretting that I signed up. It’s a place where you can learn so much, do so much, and branch out to meet so many new people. The course selection they have here — and the chance to hone your skills — the amount you can improve a skill in just three weeks is absolutely ridiculous and amazing.
I’m taking A Cappella and Debate and I'm really enjoying both my choices. I’m more of a beatboxer and I wanted to work on singing more. I've been beatboxing for a year and a half, but I’m in a theater program in high school so I have to sing. I’m not sure what I want to study in college, but I know music will always be in my life.
The amount of people from other countries that come here is amazing. One of my roommates is from Brazil and it’s so interesting to see him experiencing the United States. Just interacting with him and other people from my living group who are from other places, like Greece, it’s really fun to see how everyone comes together and lives together.
