I wanted to learn more about science that I couldn’t learn anywhere else. And experience what it’s like to work in a lab setting, which I did last session in Genetic Engineering. That was very fun. I am taking Cryptography and Science of Fear this session. I am interested in science and I just wanted to learn about codes and how the human brain works.

In my free time, I like to read and play video games. I mostly read graphic novels and science fiction, and mostly I play games with good art. I appreciate it. I like drawing, and I usually draw things that I’m thinking about, characters from books I’ve read or shows I’ve watched. I make comics — I’m working on one right now. It’s not completed, but I have a few characters for it. It’s about daily life. I try to make daily tedious activities fun or funny. Sometimes I make jokes about things that happen in my everyday life — things that my cats are doing or how awesome sleeping is.

I expected it [Explo] would be fun, but somehow it surpassed my expectations, which I’m very happy about. I had no idea there was such a wide variety of courses to take and I like my suite mates very much. They’re very kind. I didn’t know there would be so many fun activities and main events. We had Carnival Night yesterday, which was really cool.

[I am in a club called] True Colors. I feel like I am able to make a difference in student’s attitudes towards people who are different from them. I really like the feeling of being able to make friends who are like me and also people who are not like me understand people like me. Mostly we talk about how our days went and how we helped improve the Explo community.
