Aurelien came to Explo with an eagerness to learn more about his already existing passion for business. He explains about the power of mentorship and how this summer has helped him move closer to his goal of becoming an entrepreneur.
I have been to New Haven before because my brother went to Yale, so I’m familiar with the area. I’ve taken some really interesting courses at Explo, like Startup Entrepreneurship, where we crated companies. That was cool! Today an investor came in and we had to pitch our ideas to him.
I hope to be an entrepreneur in the future with a wonderful company. Specifically, I would like to have an advertising agency. My pitch in Startup Entrepreneurship was a service to create stickers to put on cars for advertisements. The sticker would match the driver to a company, so when the driver just travels to work in his car, he will also be advertising and will make money for that!
My teacher Bas is from the Netherlands, and he’s really great because he always had a smile and was very interactive with the class. He’s a really great entrepreneur himself! At the end of the class today, he gave us his business card so in the future we could ask for advice. He’s the best mentor.
