I have a very logic-wired mind. I love thinking about strategy. That’s one of the reasons I love economics and computer programming; you see all these possibilities and have to find out what works the best. It’s problem solving.

At EXPLO, I’m taking economics and political science, and my two workshops are ethics of economics and personal finance. I’m trying to figure out if that’s something I want to do in the future. Economics is interesting to me because it is so foundational to how the world works. Programming, on the other hand, is cool in that I can learn a new thing that most people can’t really do and use this thing to create more. When you program, there’s so many things you can do — I can already write code for a website or a simple game — and I’m looking forward to finding out what else I can do.

When I’m not in class or playing board games, I’m always looking into different kinds of strategies and solutions, and thinking about what I can do in different situations. It’s exercising your mind, which is important to me.
