Today is judgment day for these young bakers! Students have been broken into three groups: Summer, Fall, and Winter. They've baked cupcakes and built displays that fit into their team theme. Judges travel through the seasons to evaluate on creativity, presentation, and taste. The winner this time?: Summer!
Students have assembled their siege engines, and while they have all created different ones (a ballista, a cantilever catapult, a trebuchet, and a spring loaded cannon), they objective is the same: launch a capsule containing an egg as far as you can. The catch?: you can't break the egg.
After picking out parts from a junk yard, assembling them with tape, wire, and other miscellaneous materials, students finally complete their Rube Golberg machines, and it's time to test! Rube Goldberg machines are complex machines that complete a simple task. Today's task?: crack an egg!
Students begin filming their final projects! While some students act or direct, others work the camera or ensure the actors are sticking to the script.
What could these young ladies be up to? It looks like they may be up to something disruptive... Perhaps at the Community Meeting the students at Wellesley will discover why these ladies are choreographing.
Students move to the Computer Lab to type up their final stories to display at Explose!
Students of the Restaurant Management and Interior Decorating classes prepare to open their collaborative restaurant tomorrow! Interior Decorating is in charge of the atmosphere and aesthetic of the restaurant, while Restaurant Management is in charge of the food.
Students are given a free-draw time, during which they can use any material. While some focus on the whole figure, others choose details such as the eyes or the head.
It's crunch time for students to edit their photos for Explose on Friday! Students edit their photos in photoshop and prepare to print them.
