I’m interested in computer science. I’ve used software development to create content for some of my favorite video games and I’ve also made a rudimentary video game. You collect all the collectables within a specific time limit, and it’s hooked up to a VR headset so you can look around and control the game this way. I did that in a camp at the Museum of Science in Boston.

My favorite video game character is Sonic the Hedgehog — that’s kind of my guilty pleasure. I do like characters that are very expressive, not necessarily in what they say, but with what they do. Team Fortress 2 is a great example of using amazing facial expressions. They created these massive rigs to make the characters super expressive so you an really feel their emotions.

When I grow up I’d like to be a game software designer. I’d like to see people get invested in something that I’ve created — to see someone cry when something heartbreaking happens or laugh when they hear something funny. That means a lot to me, and that’s really the reason why I do what I do. That’s also the reason why I come here, because everyone here is like that. The people at EXPLO have created this sacred place for me that has become a place far better than anything else. It’s my second time at EXPLO and I’m loving it.
