The courses I'm taking summer at Explo are Mock Trial and Exploratory Robotics. They're different from classes you'd take at school, because you get to decide what you're taking based on what you're interested in — which makes them that much more exciting. The robotics course I'm taking is my favorite because there's a lot of creative problem-solving and teamwork involved. The course represents a lot about what I like about Explo: you use your head to work really hard, but it's still so much fun and you get to work with so many people you might never have ever talked to otherwise.

The lessons I've learned in my classes are definitely going to help me in my life outside of Explo. There's a lot of problem-solving involved in my courses, so I've learned to be more thorough with checking. I'm realizing that instead of just guessing what's wrong, you can minimize your time on something by thinking through problems.

My piece of advice for anyone who's new to Explo would be to just don't be afraid to go up to a random person and just talk to them! The people are the best part of Explo, so don't miss your chance to talk to someone amazing.
