As an Explo at Wellesley returner, Renée is back and ready to design innovative creations that are truly out of this world. Besides making elegant fans that also happen to replicate DNA (as pictured above), Renee enjoys combining her thoughtful ingenuity with a passion for jewelry to the make beautiful bracelets she shares with friends and hallmates.

Creativity, to me, means making something that hasn't been done before. I'd like to think that I've always been a creative person, but my Creativity Challenges course has helped me bring it to the next level. I'm thinking about different inspirations and different creative outlets here, so it's really getting my mind to work in new ways.

On the first day of my Creativity Challenges class, we were supposed to think about what kind of questions would have "9 penguins" as the answer. Because we were creating our own questions instead of thinking about answers, Explo was helping us think differently and from new perspectives from the first day.

The environment in Explo helps me think differently because there are so many different classes in which there is always something new to learn about. There are different people from all across the country and the world that bring so many new perspectives and get you thinking about so many different things in every day life. There's always something new and unexpected to learn about that you can't find elsewhere.

If I could invent any one thing, I think I'd make it so clothing tags don't itch you anymore. I'm not sure how I'm going to go about doing it, but I'd say it'd be a really useful invention because it's a pretty annoying problem that everyone faces.
