Paloma has wanted to be a photographer and baker for as long as she can remember. She thought she had to choose, but at EXPLO, she gets to be both!
My EXPLO situation is a little different. I'm from New Hampshire, but I go to school in Massachusetts, so I get to be a day student. It's kind of funny being from another state but not being residential! My friend went here last year, too, and her mom convinced my mom to let me sign up. I kind of thought I would only hang out with my friend from home, but I'm meeting so many new, cool people already. I'm so excited to finally be here.
Everyone at EXPLO is so kind and interesting, from my instructors to the students around me. I didn't know how many international students there were — I've never met so many people from Brazil and China, and it's so cool to talk to them. I'm really excited to make some new friends this summer, especially with people from other countries.
My favorite thing about myself is how passionate I am. I love theatre, photography, and baking, and I'm doing all three of those things here! I don't get that many opportunities to do those things at school, so I'm excited to explore them more here this summer.
