Besides Athletics and Art, Natalie has a knack for making friends from all over the world at Explo. The best part? Wherever her travels take her, she knows she always has a friend!
This year at Explo, I'm taking Costume, Hair + Make-up Design and Accessory Design. There's a lot of design and thinking involved in both those courses that lets me be creative. There's no right or wrong like in school, you just design. This session, we have this big assignment to create our own costume from scratch, so I've been putting in a lot of hard work thinking about what I want to make.
This is my first summer at Explo. My favorite thing about it is all the people you meet here from all over the world. There's a lot of people who grew up near me, but also a ton of people from places I've never even heard of. My one friend is from this small town in Russia that sounds so different from anywhere I've been. Getting a chance to meet friends from all over is so amazing because if I ever want to travel, I know I'll always have a place to stay with a friend.
