Video producer or fashion designer? These are the kinds of tough choices facing Lea Yael. Good thing Explo offers classes to foster both of these interests and many more.
One of my friends from Panama came here and told me about it. She told me she liked it very much. I thought it would be a new experience to come here. I asked my parents several times to come and I told them all the good things about Explo and what the benefits would be. They thought it was a great idea! I told them that I could learn more about the career I want to have when I grow up and that I could make new friends and discover new talents.
I am [deciding] between two careers. I want to be a video producer or a fashion designer. I want to be a fashion designer because I like to dress up and it would be cool to be able to create your own clothes and love your own style. I would like to be a video producer because I love to watch movies and T.V. shows and it would be great to personalize your own movie. I didn’t know video production was this cool. I couldn’t have this experience — I couldn’t make a movie — before I came to Explo. Also, I didn’t know how to use a sewing machine and it was such a great opportunity to learn how to do that.
If I were to convince a friend to come to Explo, I would tell them that you can discover new talents, make new friends, be more social, and learn new things that you would never be able to without Explo.
