One week into her first summer at EXPLO, Katie wishes she had the power to control time — so she could relive her EXPLO experience over and over.
I came to EXPLO with my friend from home, but I wanted to meet new people, too. I wanted to have new experiences and get the chance to be away from home. Being out of Pennsylvania and near Boston is awesome, and staying in dorms makes it all feel very college-y. Having RAs is also super cool — mine are Olof and Melida, and they're so nice. The other night, we all ate on our hall together as a group and it was the best.
EXPLO is fun, interactive, and crazy — in a good way! You get to make so many friends, and there are so many classes. Like, hand someone a list of all the classes and they'd be so shocked. It's different from my school, which is very academically-focused. EXPLO is also focused on academics, but they also want you to have the best time. Every Main Event brings the community together, and there are also signs up all over the place that make you smile. It's a really beautiful place.
