Katherine, a rising eighth grader, is fascinated by viruses — and she sees one in particular spreading through Explo like wildfire.
I'm taking Public Speaking and Medical Careers because I want to be a doctor when I grow up — a virologist, actually. I haven't taken any classes about viruses at school. Well, not yet. But viruses and genetics really interest me. We touched on it in biology, and it really stuck with me. Viruses and the way they work — RNA and DNA and all that stuff — are super interesting to read about, and we get to learn a bit about it here at Explo, too.
Ever since I came to Explo, I've just been really happy for some reason. Happiness is definitely a virus at Explo, in the best way possible. It's contagious — like it just floats around in the air — and then everyone's smiling! I think it's a real thing.
