Although it's her final day at Explo at Wellesley, this passionate photographer is leaving campus feeling energized and excited to return to Explo next summer. At Explosé, Isabel was enthusiastic about sharing her session-long project for her Digital Photography class. In the future, she hopes to soak in as much as she can about photography and capture the world on camera along the way.

In photography, each photo can represent something completely different for every person. So you could have a picture of tree that could represent nature for one person, but could mean something else for another person. It's so interesting because it is a form of art where you can do anything with it.

In my Digital Photography class, we play with different shadows and lighting and study a different photographer. I learned all about different shutter speeds, so I could take crisp photos and freeze motion for water and baby powder blowing in the air.

My courses and the techniques that I've learned at Explo have helped me capture all of the moments in my life. I'm so happy that I can take pictures of all the friends I've made here and places I've been, and have them remain as memories through my photos to help remind me of my time at Explo. I'm sad that I won't be able to see my good friends every day, because they live in the Netherlands and in Japan, but I know that the photos I've taken will always help keep them in my memory (plus, they're just a quick text away!).
