Emma reflects on her 4th summer at Explo and looks forward to returning for a 5th next year!
My favorite part about Explo is the staff. They’re so fun and enthusiastic! This is my fourth summer at Explo and they’re one of the main reasons why I keep coming back every year. Even though home is very far away, they help me feel like I’m at home at Explo.
This summer, I took courses in Accessory Design and Forensic Science, and the Just Desserts, Volleyball, and Indoor Cycling workshops. Just Desserts was my favorite one because you spend the whole class working on making something, and you get to see the finished product at the end. The best part is that you get to eat what you make!
What I love most about being here is that it gives you so many chances to try things that you would never be able to do. Something I didn’t think I’d do was take a Graffiti Art class and I ended up having so much fun.
How do I feel that Explo is ending? It feels bittersweet. I’m so happy for all that I’ve experienced here and for my summer, but sad too because I’m going to miss all of the amazing friends I’ve made. The good news is that I get to come back next summer and hopefully see them all again!
