With dreams of making it big on the silver screen, Diego shares how his foundation in acting and directing at Explo is guiding him down the road to success.
My favorite course at Explo is definitely Acting and Directing for the Camera. We basically combine with the film production class to make a movie together. You get cast in the movie, choose which one you’d want to be in, and then star in that movie! The movie I’m in is called “The Missing,” which is this cool mystery and adventure film where my friend and I are searching for a girl who went missing five years ago. I really like that we get to see all the different parts that have to come together to make a movie possible.
When I grow up, I want to be a Hollywood actor. Being a part of the actual movie production at Explo makes it feel like we’re really on set on an actual movie. We get a feel for how the scripts are made and recorded, and I’ve learned about all the hard work that goes into acting. My one piece of advice for anyone who wants to try acting or directing is: don’t be nervous! You just have to go for it and you’ll see how much you can really do when you put your mind to it.
