My Running a Business course is raising money for the scholarship fund here at Explo. For every four dollars someone donates, we give them a headband (shown above), and they give more students an opportunity to have the chance to come to Explo. The scholarship fund is important because it gives everyone the chance to come enjoy Explo. It feels really nice to be doing this. Back in France, I am a girl scout and we do a lot of fundraising as well. We’re not allowed to sell cookies there, but we participate a lot in garage sales where we are able to give the money to a charity. I’m so fortunate to have the opportunity to be able to afford Explo, but I know that not everyone can, so it makes me feel special to have a way to give back.

I think it’s easy to make an impact at Explo. Nobody judges anybody here and there are opportunities every day to make a change here. Explo is a unique place because you’re able to just be yourself and you learn so much about people. A lot of people ask you about your country and everyone’s so interested in who you are and where you’re coming from, so you get to find out about different points of views just by having a conversation with people on your hall or in your classes.
