I love sports. One of my favorite things about myself is that I am very athletic. The sport that I am best at is track. I got eleventh place in the state in the mile and my four by four hundred team came in second. I want to try to break five minutes in a mile by the end of my freshman year of high school. My track coach always says that it’s all about beating your own personal best. I’m not doing track at EXPLO, though, because I do it all year. I thought maybe I would try some new sports so I am doing water polo.

Most of my family has been to EXPLO. My sister went to Wellesley for two years and Yale for one year. My brother went to Wellesley for two years. My dad went to Wellesley as a student and then worked here as a buyer. EXPLO is a family affair! I remember when I was younger my brother and I would get really excited talking about what classes he was going to take. My brother and sister both did photography and sailing and loved it, so I’m doing both of those courses this summer.

I think our experiences have all been a bit different. The location around campus has changed and the program itself has evolved. The courses and activities have all changed, but in a positive way. The classes that I have taken have helped me decide what I’m passionate about. I am definitely passionate about sports, so I am taking the Business of Sports course this summer. Last year I took the Crime Investigations course and I found that really interesting, too.
